Materials Management Clerk
The Materials Management Clerk compiles and maintains records of quantity, cost, and type of material received, stocked, issued, and prepares material requisitions for accuracy.
Duties Include but are not limited to:
•Compares information on requisitions, invoices, and shipping notices to material received or issued to verify accuracy of order.
•Compiles and maintains inventory of material received, stocked and issued.
•Prepares requests for procurement of material.
•Inspects, accepts or rejects material received.
•Marks identifying information on material.
•Arranges with vendors for replacement of damaged goods, or arranges for credit on returned items.
•Follows through by closing every stock purchase order on a timely basis.
•Keeps the department Manager informed of current activities regarding discrepancies with vendors, hospital department issues, and any significant changes in the market place which might affect the hospital.
•Assists the manager of materials management with special projects.
•Completes all appropriate paperwork.
•Maintains proper internal controls in storeroom.
•Assists with all inventories.
•Pulls stock orders and delivers them to appropriate departments.
